I am Michael A. Gyensare, PhD, a researcher, academic, educator, and advocate for connecting rigorous research with meaningful practice. My work brings together strategic human resource management, organisational behaviour, management, entrepreneurship, and human resource development. Through research, teaching, academic service, and professional engagement, I seek to generate knowledge that helps us better understand people, organisations, and the challenges shaping contemporary work.
My academic journey has developed across Ghana, Australia, and the United Kingdom, beginning with teaching and research roles and progressing into international academic engagement. I hold a PhD in Strategic Human Resource Management from Edith Cowan University, an MPhil in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana, and a First-Class Bachelor of Education from the University of Cape Coast.
Today, my work combines research, teaching, programme leadership, editorial responsibilities, external examining, and engagement with the wider academic community.
My approach to academia is grounded in curiosity, evidence, collaboration, and a commitment to making research relevant beyond the boundaries of scholarly publications.

My academic career extends beyond research and teaching into editorial, examining, programme leadership, and professional academic service. I currently contribute to the academic community through roles including Lecturer in Management at the University of Kent, External Examiner at the University of Surrey, and Associate Editor responsibilities with leading academic journals.
